When should we get ready? Well, do not wait until a natural disasture comes before you head out to get stuff from the store. The shelves are full now. So, take advantage of that.
Just a lit bit ago, the east coast got hammered by Sandy. Hurricane Sandy, which was also called "Superstorm Sandy," caused a lot of grif and damage.
October 29, 2012 - The surge level at Battery Park in New York tops 13.88 feet at 9:24 pm surpassing the old record of 10.02 feet, set by Hurricane Donna in 1960.
I had contacted a family member via FaceBook that lived in the path of Sandy. I had asked if she had enough of food and water since Sandy was heading that way. Her reply was that " I have a case of water and I have soup on the stove." I asked if she can get to a store to get some more. Her reply was that she had enough"LOL". I then asked if she had a bag ready? She said "nope". What do I need that for? She asked. Well, if you need to leave your home, you would have some supplies and dry clothes.
Well, the water came fast and she lost everything in her aprtment, her car, and she was soaking wet. She was left with nothing and it took a while to get help.
What is a B.O.B bag? Well, it is called different things, but mostly a B.O.B bag(Bug Out Bag). Like my family member for instance. If she had a B.O.B. bag, she could have some food, water, phone charger and most of all, and extra set of dry clothes.
F.E.M.A even say that you should have a bag, for that just in case instance.
If you are in snow country and get stuck, would you be able to survive in your car? People where stuck in thier cars in MADISON COUNTY, Kentucky back on JANUARY 23, 2016. heres the link to that story http://wtvr.com/2016/01/23/35-mile-traffic-jam/
Do you have a B.O.B bag with emergency supplies in it? If not, then why not?
